NEW DELHI: Eleven opposition MPs have been suspended from the Rajya Sabha for the remaining part of the week for storming the well of the House and raising slogans demanding discussion on GST hike, inflation and fuel prices.
The House chairman suspended TMC and DMK MPs, including Mausam Noor, Dola Sen, Shantanu Sen, Sushmita Dev, Nadimul Haque, MM Abdullah, AA Rahim, and V Sivadasan for ‘misconduct’.
This comes a day after four Congress MPs were suspended in Lok Sabha for the rest of the Monsoon session for ‘unruly behaviour’.

Congress MPs Manickam Tagore, Ramya Haridas, Jothimani and TN Prathapan were suspended for protesting with placards and shouting slogans against price rise, and ignored repeated warnings from the Speaker.
In the past week, both Houses have seen abrupt disruptions and adjournments following a ruckus created by the opposition parties that sought to corner the Centre on a number of issues, including inflation, price rise, unemployment and the Agnipath military recruitment scheme.
