From childhood crush to being the power couple of Bollywood, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s relationship has evolved slowly but steadily. Here’s a timeline of the couple’s journey from the very beginning.

The first crush

Alia Bhatt first met Ranbir Kapoor when the ‘Barfi’ star was assisting film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She was 11-yrs-old at the time, and was called in for a photo shoot for a film called ‘Balika Vadhu’ (which never got made) with Kapoor. The actress had later revealed that she was so shy that she could not perform in front of Ranbir, who instantly became her first crush.

The ‘Highway’ To Love

After Alia Bhatt’s glitzy launch in ‘Student Of The Year’, the actress took her first litmus test for acting in the movie, ‘Highway’. However, back in 2014, Bhatt was just a newbie and film-maker Imtiaz Ali needed a star to step-in, and create some buzz around the film. Ranbir Kapoor overtook the job, and the actress had a lovely time doing promotions.
