While talking about the movie ‘Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva‘, Alia stated that this was “a very brave” step towards creating a cinematic universe. She said that the film’s story is deeply influenced by Indian mythology and culture, which are the essence of the country.

Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has frequently been in the headlines for good reasons. Recently, she made headlines in entertainment news after producing ‘Darlings’, a dark comedy on Netflix. As per the streamers, ‘Darlings’ put up the biggest opening on Netflix as a non-English-language film worldwide.

Alia Bhatt was also in focus for the movie ‘RRR’, which turned out to be a huge hit in the West after it was released on Netflix a few months back. Her first movie in 2022 was “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” and she recently finished shooting for Tom Harper‘s “Heart of Stone,” in which Alia Bhatt will be seen together with Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot.

Your movie plan for the year is here. After several delays due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the makers have finally decided to go ahead with their line-up.

‘Valimai’

The Ajith Kumar-starrer ‘Valimai’ is set to hit the theatres month-end. The film, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Huma Qureshi, will be dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. The H Vinoth-directorial Boney Kapoor production was scheduled to release on January 14, but was postponed amid a spike in the Covid cases.

‘Radhe Shyam’

Prabhas’s highly-anticipated film ‘Radhe Shyam’ will arrive in cinemas on March 11. The romantic drama, which also stars Pooja Hegde, will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. It was slated to release on January 14, but got postponed due to the pandemic.

‘RRR’

Two release dates – March 18 and April 28 – have been booked for director SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited period action film ‘Rise Roar Revolt’ (RRR). The Telugu-language film will feature Ram Charan, NT Rama Rao Jr, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt. The film has seen multiple postponements since 2020 due to the pandemic.

‘Bachchan Pandey’

The Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Bachchan Pandey’ will arrive in theatres on Holi (March 18). The action-comedy is directed by Farhad Samji of ‘Housefull 4’ fame and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie was earlier scheduled to be released on January 26 but the pandemic played spoilsport..

In the meantime, Alia will be seen in Disney’s ‘Brahmastra: Part One—Shiva’. This movie will hit the big screens on September 9. ‘Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva’ will show Alia Bhatt and her husband Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. The film aims to create an Indian cinematic universe called the Astraverse.

As for the movie ‘Heart of Stone’, the Bollywood actor said that she liked the movie’s script. Besides, Alia stated that she greatly admired Gal Gadot’s work. Notably, Gadot is also a producer of this film. Alia said that she selects films only after being convinced of her part in any given movie. She was thrilled and fell in love with the script of ‘Heart of Stone’, which was the perfect movie for her to make her Hollywood debut.

Interestingly, Alia first met filmmaker Tom Harper over a Zoom meeting, and she agreed to do the film instantly.
