anupam kher news: Anupam Kher opens up on Bollywood versus South movies debate

[ad_1]

Veteran actor Anupam Kher discussed why Bollywood films have performed so poorly at the box office in recent times, whereas films have emerged as blockbusters. The actor stated that South Indian films focus on storytelling while Bollywood films focus on packaging a film around a movie star.

Anupam Kher’s recent film, Karthikeya 2, is a Telugu movie starring Nikhil Siddhartha. It has fared well at the Hindi box. In a new interview on the film, Anupam appreciated the approach of South Indian cinema.

Bollywood makes movies for stars, not audiences.

In an interview with ETimes, Nikhil discussed the need to monitor the audience’s pulse to create relevant films. In response, Anupam remarked, “You produce items for consumers. The problem begins when you begin to condescend to consumers by stating, “We’re doing you a favour by making a terrific picture.” You are currently viewing a fantastic flick. I’ve learned from making Telugu films that greatness results from a group effort… I recently completed a film in the Telugu language, I recently completed a film in the Tamil language; and I will soon complete a film in the Malayalam language.”

Don’t become Anupam Kher of ‘Khosla ka Ghosla’. There are ways to protect your land

Beware and be vigilant

Law is on your side

There is no pan-India legislation that specifically targets land grab. But certain states like Karnataka, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh have rules for land grabbers. There are also several provisions in the Indian Penal Code under which the miscreants can be punished such as Section 441 for criminal trespass, Section 425 for mischief, Section 420 for cheating, Section 442 for house trespass, Section 503 for criminal intimidation.

What you can do

If your land is illegally occupied then you have two options. You can approach the police and file a complaint under the IPC provisions stated above or under specific land grabbing law if your state has implemented one. You can also file a civil suit in a civil court under Section 5 of the Specific Relief Act, 1963 (SRA) and other provisions.

Documents you need

To establish your ownership, you need various documents like sale agreement, property tax returns, Khata, title deeds, Will, and power of attorney. And in case of agri lands, you need Record of Rights, tenancy and cultivation records, or relevant extraction from mutation register from tahasil office.

Prevention is better

Though there are laws and options to reclaim your land back from grabbers, it is better to be safe than sorry. Hence you must keep your property documents, stated in the previous slide, in order. Regularly paying utility charges like water and electricity will also help you establish your ownership. You must also register your property in accordance with state laws. Do regularly conduct inspections if you are not living in the property.

Karthikeya 2 is a Chandoo Mondeti-written and directed mystery adventure film, the sequel to the 2014 film Karthikeya. Dr. Karthikeya, portrayed by Nikhil, is on a mission to locate the lost anklet of Lord Krishna. Anupam, who plays a supporting part in the film, posted a message on Instagram praising its success “My second film starring Karthikeya, after The Kashmir Files, is also a box-office triumph!”

Popular production houses are not giving me work.

Anupam Kher said, “I am not a part of popular Bollywood movies nowadays. There have been no offers from Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, or Sajid Nadiadwala. But I have no grievances. I have made a foray into a Tamil film called Connect and a Telugu film called Tiger Nageswara Rao. I have also appeared in Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai.”
