JAIPUR: Referringto a campaign against two SC judges for their strong remarks in the Nupur Sharma case, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said it was a matter of grave concern. Gehlot said that everyone should respect the judiciary, but someone managed to bring some retired judges, bureaucrats and other officials together to criticise the judges for their remarks. The situation in the country is very critical with growing intolerance and violence, he added.
Although he was speaking at an event of the National Legal Services Authority, Gehlot’s speech was more political in content as he pointed out the recent fall of Congress-led governments in Maharashtra and MP “through horse trading”. “It is a matter of surprise how my government has survived. Otherwise someone else would have been here now,” he said.
