A day after NDA announced former Jharkhand governor Droupadi Murmu as its presidential candidate, the Centre sanctioned Z-plus security detail for her, to be manned by the CRPF.
The CRPF VIP protection contingent has already taken over her security, sources told TOI on Wednesday. She was extended the highest category of central protective cover in view of her revised threat perception.
