G7 Summit | Modi UAE Visit: PM Narendra Modi to visit Germany and UAE

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending G7 Summit at Schloss Elmau, Germany at the invitation of the Chancellor of Germany, H.E.Olaf Scholz from June 26 to June 27, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Wednesday.

During the summit, the PM is expected to speak in two sessions that include environment, energy, climate, food security, health, gender equality, and democracy.

Apart from India, other democracies such as Argentina, Indonesia, Senegal and South Africa have also been invited to strengthen international collaboration on these important issues, the ministry said.

Following the G7 Summit, Modi will travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on June 28, 2022, to express his personal condolences on the death of former UAE President and Abu Dhabi Ruler H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

PM Modi will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders of some of the participating countries.

The PM recently visited Germany for the sixth edition of the India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations (IGC) on May 2, 2022.
