Four months after welcoming their first child, TV couple
Debina Bonnerjee and
Gurmeet Choudhary announced on Tuesday on Instagram that a sibling for
Lianna Choudhary, their April-born daughter, was on the way. The couple is all set to welcome their second child.
Taking to Instagram, Debina collaborated with Gurmeet to post a photo from their profiles. Gurmeet held Debina in one of his arms, while the other arm carried little Lianna. With Gurmeet’s back to the camera, the couple looked at each other in the social media post.
Debina held a sonography film in her right hand, with Gurmeet’s back as the backdrop for the film. The entire family was dressed in white, as adorable Lianna stared at the camera with curiosity in her eyes.
Debina captioned, ”Very few decisions are divinely timed and nothing can change that. She termed her pregnancy as one such blessing and said the soon-to-be-born baby will complete their family.”

Merger-bound stocks to study
Smart investors are always on the lookout for special situations that can trigger sharp rallies in the short term due to merger and acquisition and buybacks. In the recent few months, the M&A market has been very hot in India with the announcement of several big-ticket deals like that of HDFC Bank-HDFC, Mindtree-LTI and PVR-INOX. Here are seven such merger-bound cases that investors can study:
HDFC Bank and HDFC Merger
In the biggest ever merger in India Inc, mortgage lender HDFC and India’s largest private lender HDFC Bank had agreed to merge in early April. HDFC shareholders as on record date will receive 42 equity shares of HDFC Bank for every 25 equity shares held in HDFC.
IIFL Securities said based on current prices, the price ratio is trading at a discount of ~3%.
FPIs hold ~68.56% and ~66.55% in HDFC and HDFC Bank, respectively. With an FPI limit of 74%, HDFC Bank’s foreign investability room now stands at ~16%
Shriram Transport Finance and Shriram City Union Finance Merger
The merger between Shriram Transport Finance and Shriram City Union Finance is being done in a swap ratio of 155:100.
“Currently, the cash (SCUF) and Futures (SHTF) price ratio is trading at a discount of ~10.7% below the swap ratio,” IIFL said.
JSW Steel & JSW Ispat Special Products Merger
The merger between JSW Steel and JSW Ispat Special Products was announced last month. According to the swap ratio of the merger, the shareholders of JSWISPL as on the record date will receive 1 equity share of JSTL for every 21 equity shares held in JSWISPL.
Based on current prices, the price ratio is trading at a discount of about -11%, IIFL said.
Larsen & Toubro Infotech & Mindtree Merger
Larsen & Toubro Infotech & Mindtree, both subsidiaries of Larsen & Toubro, had last month announced a mega-merger to create an efficient and scaled-up IT services provider, exceeding $3.5 billion in combined revenue.
As part of the share swap ratio, shareholders of Mindtree will receive 73 equity shares of LTI
for every 100 equity shares held in Mindtree.
Several celebrities, as well as fans, showered the couple with their love and blessings. Some of the celebrities, who commented on Debina’s post, include Tassnim Nerurkar, Tanvi Thakkar, Tina Datta, Rashami Desai, Yuvika Chaudhary and Mahhi Vij. They all shared a similar sentiment, expressing excitement and congratulating the popular couple, who are mainstays in the Hindi television industry.
Earlier this year, Gurmeet and Debina shared a video on April 4 revealing the birth of a girl. Even then, they had taken to Instagram to break the news to their friends, family and well-wishers.
They welcomed their baby girl with the utmost gratitude. Once Lianna turned three months old, the couple revealed her face to the world, stating that she had united their hearts into one.
They also expressed their gratitude for being part of a “beautiful community of genuine people”, who prayed for their daughter while patiently waiting to see her face.
