The official prequel to HBO’s popular series Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, debuted on Sunday. However, not everyone could see it due to complaints from thousands of users who could not access it using the network’s HBO Max app.

However, an HBO spokeswoman informed The Hollywood Reporter that the issue appeared to be occurring among viewers connected via Amazon‘s devices. Several HBO subscribers flocked to Twitter to complain about it, probably brought on by a deluge of viewers.

According to a statement from HBO, millions of HBO Max users are successfully viewing House of the Dragon this evening. “We are attempting to find a resolution for those impacted folks. We are aware that a small number of individuals who tried to connect via Fire TV devices are encountering difficulty.

As per DownDetector.com, the app meltdown affected at least 3,000 viewers of the Fire TV stick, an Amazon gadget. The event has also drawn attention since Amazon has been preparing to release The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, another fantasy drama positioned as a potential competitor for HBO’s House of the Dragon.
