Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra(up 3.3 per cent), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.91 per cent), Eicher Motors(up 0.88 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 0.88 per cent) and Bharat Forge(up 0.86 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, MRF(down 1.33 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.18 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(down 0.59 per cent) and Bosch(down 0.49 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.97 per cent up at 12927.95.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 127.6 points at 17525.1, while the BSE Sensex stood up 465.14 points at 58853.07.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 ended in the green, while 17 closed in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, JP Power, and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of
Ltd., Cool Caps Industries Ltd., , and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Zensar Tech, , , and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
