Indices: Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.61%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.

Shares of Prestige Estates Projects(up 2.71 per cent), DLF(up 1.05 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 0.68 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.39 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Phoenix Mills(down 4.4 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 3.91 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 3.72 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.63 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.61 per cent down at 388.6.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 39.95 points at 15692.15, while the BSE Sensex stood down 152.18 points at 52541.39.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 ended in the green, while 26 closed in the red.

Shares of , YES Bank, MRPL, RBL Bank and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

, , Standard Ind and Globe Intl. Carriers hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , , , Tata Comm and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
