Sara Ali Khan, Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon: Bollywood Glitters At India Couture Week

Star Power

The 12th edition of the India Couture Week in New Delhi was a star-studded affair with several B-town celebs making an appearance, both on the ramp and off.

The week-long event saw 10 designers showcase their couture collections, with Bollywood stars turning showstoppers for several shows.

Here’s a look at all the stars who took to the runway at ICW.

Sparkle And Shine

Actress Sara Ali Khan made her runway debut on Day 5 of the India Couture Week. The 23-year-old turned showstopper for designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock, who presented their ‘Bonjour Amer’ collection – an ode to the pink city.

Khan looked every part royal for her maiden runway appearance in an ivory and silver, embellished lehenga by the designers.

The actress, who recently wrapped shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’, was cheered on by co-star and rumoured beau Kartik Aryan and brother Ibrahim from the front row.

Back To The Beginning

Model-turned-actress Kriti Sanon closed the show for designer duo Shyamal and Bhumika on the fourth day of the couture week. The designers’ collection titled ‘The Renaissance Muse’, featuring raw silks, velvet, organza, crepe, georgette and tulle with zardosi, sequins and thread work, was inspired by the grandeur of the Renaissance period.

It was a nostalgic walk for the ‘Luki Chuppi’ star who had earlier been part of the designers’ show during her days as a model.

Glamorous In Green

Malaika Arora made an appearance in the National Capital on the fourth day of the India Couture Week, turning showstopper for designer Sulakshana Monga.

Arora walked the ramp in a green, embroidered lehenga, part of the designer’s ‘The Cultural Cascade’ collection – that drew inspiration from the vivid colours of the ghats and streets of Varanasi.

Glitz and Glamour

Designer duo Pankaj and Nidhi showcased their maiden couture collection on the third day of the India Couture Week. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari turned showstopper for the duo, whose debut collection ‘Mosaiq’ was inspired by a decorative art form from the Byzantine era.

The film “Satyaprem Ki Katha” was previously named “Satyanarayan Ki Katha.” However, it created a huge uproar when it came to the public. Later, the makers clarified that the title “Satyanarayan Ki Katha” was not intended to hurt anyone’s sentiments. Therefore, they decided to rename the movie “Satyaprem Ki Katha.”

Kartik Aaryan, on Kiara Advani’s birthday, announced that the movie was renamed to the current title. He also shared his and Kiara’s looks from “Satyaprem Ki Katha.”

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan will shoot for “Captain India,” “Shehzada,” and “Dostana.” “Captain India” will be directed by Hansal Mehta, and “Shehzada” will feature Kriti Sanon opposite Kartik Aaryan.

Kiara Advani has “Govinda Mera Naam” in her hands. Kiara will be featured alongside actors Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal in this movie.
