Bollywood’s Role-Model Female Characters

Queen

The Rani character from the film Queen was a ground-breaking figure. All the women yelled, “You go girl!” as she made the decision to not wallow in self-pity in the wake of her fiance’s rejection. The woman demonstrated to us the importance of independence and the fact that not all women’s stories end in marriage.

Toilet Ek Prem Katha

Bhumi Pednekar’s character Jaya is a college-educated woman who marries Akshay Kumar after falling in love. When she gets to her in-laws’ house, she is disappointed to see there isn’t a toilet, so she makes the decision to leave and insist that if her husband really wants her back, a toilet be installed. She is adamant about getting what she wants and won’t give up until she does.

Kahaani

The “never-say-die” mentality of women is well embodied by Vidya Bagchi, a contemporary woman. She portrays an expectant woman who travels the streets of Kolkata in her role as a fierce spy. The symbolic parallel between Maa Durga and Vidya Bagchi is entirely accurate!

Neerja

Sonam Kapoor played Neerja Bhanot in the movie Neerja. Neerja Bhanot is frequently at the top of lists of fearless and audacious women for the year 2016. Neerja fought terrorists without considering her own safety and helped save many people’s lives. Neerja taught us to embrace our fears with courage in addition to teaching us to be bold. Everyone was in awe of Sonam Kapoor’s stirring performance in this movie.

Mardaani 2

In the movie, Rani Mukherji portrays a formidable Senior Inspector who possesses both great physical and mental fortitude.

Inspector Shivani Shivaji Roy is a strong inspector who knocks up bad individuals, but she also has a maternal side that inspires her to save an orphan child.

Shivani embodies both a woman’s powerful and sensitive aspects in equal measure.

Mardaani is a very empowering tale of a lone wolf who defeats men’s gangs on his own.

What was Mani Nagaraj’s last project?

Mani Nagaraj was awaiting the release of ‘Vasuvin Garbinigal’.

The movie stars many talented actors like Neeya Naana Gopinath and Vanitha Vijayakumar. Seetha and Anikha Surendran are also featured as the lead roles in the movie.

The movie is set to release next year, and the first look was already released a few months back in June. The engaging storyline will follow the life of a gynecologist and five women, who will enter his life.

News of his sudden demise has sent shockwaves in the industry. ‘Vasuvin Garbinigal’ was going to be his second movie after ‘Pencil’, and it’s so disheartening to see the director going away so soon. Tributes are filling the internet from all his friends and family. Many Kollywood celebrities have sent their prayers to the grieving family and wished for Mani Nagaraj to rest in peace.
