Narendra Modi Mann Ki Baat: ‘We cannot forget the emergency days’: PM Modi addressing 90th edition of Mann Ki Baat

Addressing the 90th episode of his monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled the days of emergency and contrasted it with the the degree of freedom being exercised by the citizens today.

“During Emergency the citizens were deprived of all rights, including the Right to Life and Personal Liberty given by Article 21,” observed Modi. The Prime Minister has also urged people to keep sharing ideas on Mann Ki Baat either on MyGov or the NaMo App.

In the 89th episode, the PM expressed pride that the number of Unicorns in the country has reached the hundred mark. PM Modi had said the total valuation of these Unicorns is more than 330 billion dollars, which amounts to more than 25 lakh crore rupees. A Unicorn is a start-up worth at least 7.5 thousand crore rupees.

The PM is attending the G7 summit, to be held on June 26 and 27, following an invitation by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The summit is being hosted by Germany in its capacity as the chair of G7, a grouping of the world’s seven richest nations.
