Poco M5 Launch: Poco M5 & Poco M5s to be launched in India on September 5: Check out details

It seems September is tipped to be the month with most smartphone launches. Poco is the latest to join the bandwagon of brands planning to introduce their devices to the world. In the last few months, a slew of smartphones has been launched in the affordable segment.

Poco’s latest smartphones the Poco M5 and Poco M5s will make a splash with their global launch scheduled on September 5. The smartphones will be launched in a virtual event that will be live-streamed on Poco’s official YouTube channel. The brand teased the new smartphones on its official YouTube Channel. The smartphones will be launched at the event to be held at 5:30 pm.

While the brand is yet to reveal the details and price of the new devices, several leaks indicate that the smartphones will be under the Rs 15,000 price range. The Poco M5 5G is expected to be backed by MediaTek Helio G99 SoC chipset.

When it comes to specifications, the smartphone is expected to flaunt a unique design and will come in two distinct colour options. The Poco M5 will be a 4G device that will run on Android 12 and will sport a 6.58-inch LCD with Full HD+. The device is rumoured to feature a 5,000mAH battery with 33W fast-charging support.

The back panel is claimed to feature a leather-like texture and the device may also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Earlier this year, the Chinese smartphone maker unveiled its Poco F4 5G in India. The device was launched in 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB storage configurations. It is priced between Rs 27,999 and Rs 33,999 and is currently available on Flipkart.
