Congress president Sonia Gandhi says Congress pledges to stand with protesting youths and work for withdrawal of ‘Agnipath’ scheme.
She termed ‘Agnipath’ scheme “directionless”, says unfortunate that govt has ‘ignored’ voice of youths. She has also appealed to youths to adopt peaceful, non-violent means to fight for their demands.
Sonia was reportedly been diagnosed with a lower respiratory tract infection after being admitted to the Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi on June 12.
Sonia statement came just after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Raghav Chadha wrote a letter to Defence minister Rajnath Singh on the roll back of the controversial Agnipath Recruitment scheme launched on June 14.
