Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Wednesday’s session.

Sikko Industries(up 19.98%), Coromandel International(up 6.21%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 4.82%),

Fertilizers (up 4.80%), G S F C(up 3.73%), & Petrochemicals(up 3.33%), & Fertilizers(up 2.68%), National Fertilizer(up 2.25%), & Chemicals(up 2.04%) and KRISHANA(up 1.36%) stood among the top gainers.

Agro Phos(down 4.35%), ZUARIAGRO(down 3.52%),

& Fertilizers(down 1.83%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 1.40%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.11%) and Aries Agro(down 0.86%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 157.95 points up at 16641.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 547.83 points at 55816.32.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 3.04%), State Bank of India(up 2.72%), Divis Laboratories(up 2.7%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.59%), Asian Paints(up 2.49%), Tata Consultancy(up 2.34%), UltraTech Cement(up 2.12%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.11%), Grasim Industries(up 2.11%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.93%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel(down 1.34%), Bajaj Auto(down 1.06%), UPL Ltd(down 0.65%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.65%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.43%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.25%), NTPC(down 0.2%), Reliance Industries(down 0.09%) and Bajaj Finserv(down 0.04%) closed in the red.
