On July 10 in honour of “Bakrid” or Eid ul-Adha, entry for visitors to the Taj Mahal will be free for three hours, an official announced on Friday. The historic monument’s mosque will be open to the public for namaz from 7 to 10 in the morning.
Raj Kumar Patel, a supervising archaeologist of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Agra region, said, “Entry fee at Taj Mahal for offering Namaz on ‘Bakrid’ will be free from 7 am to 10 am in the morning on Sunday. The booking offices at Taj Mahal shall also remain closed on the occasion.”
