NEW DELHI: The Centre on Tuesday terminated the services of three Indian Air Force (IAF) officers after an inquiry into the accidental firing of a BrahMos missile on March 9 this year found that they had deviated from the standard operating procedure which led to the incident.
The officials who have been terminated from service include a Group Captain, a Wing Commander and a Squadron Leader.
The IAF said the services of the officers have been terminated by the Centre with immediate effect and termination orders were served on Tuesday.
On March 9, an unarmed BrahMos missile was accidentally fired and landed in Pakistan.
