Atlanta Federal Reserve President Raphael Bostic on Friday said he would like to see the U.S. central bank raise interest rates by another 100 to 125 basis points from their current level and then leave them there “for a long time.”

“I want to see our policy get to something that is marginally restrictive,” Bostic told Bloomberg TV in Jackson, Wyoming, where Fed officials are gathered for a conference. “I’m looking for us to move, maybe, 100 basis points, 125 basis points from where we are.”

“I think we should stay there for a long time,” he said. (Reporting By Dan Burns)
