‘Liger’ has received negative reactions from the critics and audience. Directed by film-maker Puri Jagannadh, the film released in five languages across India on August 25 and was able to earn Rs 33 crore on its opening day at the box-office, according to a report in India Today.
However, the sports drama could only manage to rope in Rs 1 crore on its Day 9, as per reports.
Meanwhile, Chiyaan Vikram’s ‘Cobra’, which hit theatres across India on August 31, didn’t have an impressive start at the box-office either.
The film, directed by Ajay Gnanmutha, witnessed a disappointing opening at the box-office and could not even cross the Rs 1 crore mark. As per media reports, the film has earned around Rs 26.30 crore approximately since its release.
Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan on Friday said that the film had a ‘dull’ day at the box-office and witnessed lowest first week Friday of 2022.
