NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of ICICI Bank(up 1.23 per cent), HDFC Bank(up 0.66 per cent), Federal Bank(up 0.46 per cent), Bandhan Bank(up 0.08 per cent) and Axis Bank(up 0.05 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Bank of Baroda(down 2.51 per cent), IndusInd Bank(down 0.33 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank(down 0.18 per cent), State Bank of India(down 0.14 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.13 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.39 per cent up at 32743.05.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 67.1 points at 15293.5, while the BSE Sensex stood down 135.37 points at 51360.42.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 ended in the green, while 38 closed in the red.
Shares of , YES Bank, SAIL, and RBL Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

, Globe Intl. Carriers and . hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , , , JTL Infra and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
