BUDGAM: A civilian and a policeman were injured in two separate grenade attacks on Independence Day in Jammu and Kashmir.
Terrorists hurled a grenade in Gopalpora Chadoora village of Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday, injuring a civilian who was later identified as Karan Kumar Singh.
Karan was rushed to the Srinagar Hospital for treatment and his condition is stable, said officials.
In another attack, terrorists hurled a grenade at a Police Control Room in Srinagar, resulting in minor injuries to one police personnel. The area has been cordoned off, said the police.
There have been a spate of grenade attacks over the last three days in Jammu and Kashmir. Two policemen were killed in two separate attacks on Sunday.
