Indices: Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.48% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 11:00AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

IDFCBANK(up 3.15 per cent), Bandhan Bank(up 2.78 per cent), IndusInd Bank(up 2.19 per cent), Federal Bank(up 1.23 per cent) and Punjab National Bank(up 1.21 per cent) were among the top gainers.

State Bank of India(down 0.27 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was up 0.48 per cent at 38883.95 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 8.45 points at 17585.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 19.7 points at 59051.0.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of , JP Power, , Zomato Ltd. and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of

, , , and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , Veekayem Fashion & Apparels Ltd., , Karda Const and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
