In an earlier article, we highlighted how the agriculture sector, including Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), has faced a lot of challenges lately. Our ground checks in parts of Rajasthan now suggest the worst might be over for agri-credit, especially the KCC segment. Thanks to better credit awareness, stable rural income and rising education, KCC might be a beneficiary.
Recently, we conducted a ground research in the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, the state that uses the second highest number of Kisan Credit Cards (KCC).Especially among the rural population, we were told that in order to grow steadily in agriculture, and to obtain any form of credit, you need to have a KCC.
