The movie has been produced by Puri Connects and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The movie shows Ramya Krishna and Ronit Roy in crucial roles, and Mike Tyson, the legendary boxer also makes a cameo and his Indian film debut. During promotions of ‘Liger’, Vijay Devarakonda recently supported Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s Laal Singh Chaddha.
Reporters asked Vijay Devarakpnda to comment on the recent boycotts, and he said that the boycotts affect the actors, who give their blood, sweat and tears and the movies. He said that the workers suffer along with the actors.
He said that people are not just boycotting Aamir Khan but many thousands, who have worked on the film. They are losing their livelihood and work. He said this when he was asked about the trend. He said that about 200-300 people work on the film apart from the actors, and it is a source of livelihood for many.
He added that Aamir Khan’s name is at the forefront, but about 2,000 to 3,000 families are affected by the boycott. Netizens attacked Vijay Devarakonda as soon as he commented. People accused him of conspiring with Karan Johar. The netizens came up with a hashtag “BoycottLigerMovie” and asked others to boycott it as well.
