NEW DELHI: A Hindu organisation has moved the Supreme Court seeking permission to worship the Shivling, purportedly discovered inside the Gyanvapi mosque at Varanasi during a court-ordered survey, during the auspicious month of Shravan.
In its petition, the Sri Krishna Janma Bhumi Mukti Dal said that the SC through its interim orders in the month of May had protected the area where the Shivling was discovered while allowing Muslims to offer namaz within the Gyanvapi mosque, adjacent to the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
