BENGALURU: Cognizant said Rajesh Nambiar, EVP and president, digital business & technology, and chairman of Cognizant India, would cease to be the company’s EVP and president of digital business & technology, effective Wednesday. He would also cease to be an executive officer of the company.
However, Nambiar will continue to serve as EVP, chairman and managing director of Cognizant India. The Nasdaq-listed company said his compensation in such a role will be commensurate with that within the organisation for those who are not executive officers. TOI had reported that Nambiar drew $6.8 million in 2021. He had commenced his current role on January 1 last year.
The company said it is simplifying internal operating structure around practice areas and delivery operations. “This change will not impact reportable business segments. With these changes, the company expects to better serve clients, enabling best in class offerings and capabilities, and creating even more opportunity for associates with exposure to additional career growth,” it said in a filing with the US SEC.
