NEW DELHI: In the wake of another big hike in the price of LPG cylinders, Congress on Wednesday said it will launch a nationwide protest against levying of GST on goods of daily needs.
AICC spokesperson Ragini Nayak said, “At the time of PM Manmohan Singh, Congress used to buy essential energy products at an expensive rate and sell it cheap to the public. But now, despite everything being cheap in the international market, it is being sold expensive to the public.” She said Congress will launch a district-wise agitation against price rise. Slamming the hike, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Headlines managed, economy mismanaged.”
