NEW DELHI: India reported 10,725 fresh Covid cases and 36 deaths in the last 24 hours, said the Union Health Ministry on Thursday.
The death toll climbed to 5,27,488 with 36 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours.

The country’s active Covid-19 cases has come down to 94,047, according to the health ministry data.

The active cases constituted 0.21 per cent of the total infections, while the national recovery rate was recorded at 98.72 per cent, the health ministry said.
.The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.73 per cent and weekly positivity rate at 3.20 per cent, the data said.

Also in the last 24 hours, a total of 3,92,837 tests were conducted across the country, increasing the overall tally to over 88.39 crore.
As of Thursday morning, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 210.82 crore, achieved via 2,80,58,526 sessions.
While the vaccination for the age group 12-14 years began on March 16, 2022, the Covid-19 precaution or booster dose administration for age group 18-59 years also started on April 10, 2022.
