NEW DELHI: Ahead of his departure to Germany for the G7 summit, PM Narendra Modi said on Saturday that he will look to discuss topical issues like environment, energy, climate, food security, health, counter-terrorism, gender equality and democracy with the leading Western economies and their partner countries.

Modi is visiting Schloss Elmau in the Bavarian Alps, the summit venue, at the invitation of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Russia‘s military action in Ukraine is expected to dominate the summit’s agenda
