AAP Rajya Sabha MP and former cricketer Harbhajan Singh on Wednesday raised the issue of attacks on Sikhs and their places of worship in Afghanistan and sought to know why such attacks were targeting Sikhs only.
He also expressed concerns over what he called a sharp decline in the Sikh population there, while raising the issue during the Zero Hour. “I have stood up to speak on the attacks on Sikhs and gurdwaras in Afghanistan. This is not only a matter which has hurt sentiments of Sikhs across the world, it is also an attack on identity of being a Sikh… why such attacks on us only …why are we being targeted,” he said.
