NEW DELHI: India reported 14,506 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry data. With this, the country’s total tally of coronavirus cases rose to 4,34,33, 345.
With 30 fresh fatalities, India’s Covid-19 death toll climbed to 5,25,077.
The country’s active coronavirus caseload currently stands at 99,602.
In the last 24 hours, 11,574 people recovered from the coronavirus infection, taking the total recoveries in the country to 4,28,08,666.
According to the health ministry, the active cases comprise 0.23 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate remained at 98.56 per cent.
The daily positivity rate was recorded as 3.35 per cent, almost equal to the weekly positivity rate, which was recorded at 3.36 per cent, according to the ministry.
The cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive has exceeded 197.46 crore.
