NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a note on Friday.
Shares of Bharat Forge(up 7.38 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 1.39 per cent), Eicher Motors(up 1.06 per cent), Escorts Kubota(up 1.02 per cent) and Ashok Leyland(up 0.89 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki(down 1.3 per cent), Bosch(down 0.96 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.84 per cent), TVS Motor Company(down 0.59 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.53 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.0 per cent at 12923.75.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 39.15 points at 17698.15, while the BSE Sensex stood up 130.18 points at 59462.78.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 ended in the green, while 24 closed in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., Tata Steel, , YES Bank and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of
, , Ltd., and Ethos Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , , 8K Miles Soft, and Vipul Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows.
