NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of ICICI Bank(up 1.71 per cent), State Bank of India(up 1.13 per cent), Axis Bank(up 0.22 per cent) and IndusInd Bank(up 0.12 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, AU Small Finance Bank(down 2.05 per cent), Bandhan Bank(down 0.7 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.66 per cent), IDFCBANK(down 0.33 per cent) and Federal Bank(down 0.31 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.42 per cent up at 39042.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 39.15 points at 17698.15, while the BSE Sensex stood up 130.18 points at 59462.78.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 ended in the green, while 24 closed in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., Tata Steel, , YES Bank and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of
, , Ltd., and Ethos Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , , 8K Miles Soft, and Vipul Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows.
