NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.
Shares of Tech Mahindra(up 0.04 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Larsen & Toubro Infotech(down 3.21 per cent), Mindtree(down 2.65 per cent), MPhasis(down 2.37 per cent), L&T Technology(down 2.23 per cent) and Coforge(down 1.95 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 1.29 per cent down at 28140.1.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 51.1 points at 15799.1, while the BSE Sensex stood down 150.48 points at 53026.97.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 ended in the green, while 33 closed in the red.
Shares of ONGC, Zomato Ltd., , NTPC and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of
, , , and Globesecure Technologies Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , , , and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
