NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.
Shares of Strides Pharma Science(up 3.68 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(up 3.67 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 1.76 per cent), Divis Laboratories(up 1.48 per cent) and Cipla(up 1.04 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Laurus(down 1.85 per cent), Biocon(down 1.39 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 1.36 per cent), Abbott India(down 0.94 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories(down 0.7 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.22 per cent up at 12218.5.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 42.3 points at 15732.1, while the BSE Sensex stood down 153.13 points at 52693.57.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.
Shares of , RBL Bank, , Zomato Ltd. and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Dynacons Sys, Sonu
., , Cool Caps Industries Ltd. and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , , , Ltd. and HPCL hit their fresh 52-week lows.
