NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.
Shares of Alkem Laboratories(up 2.16 per cent), Biocon(up 2.11 per cent), Cipla(up 2.08 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.57 per cent) and Pfizer(up 1.55 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 0.35 per cent), Alembic Pharmaceuticals(down 0.34 per cent) and Abbott India(down 0.14 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.22 per cent up at 12699.4.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 446.4 points at 17759.3, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1564.45 points at 59537.07.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 50 ended in the green, while 0 closed in the red.
Shares of , Zomato Ltd., JP Power, YES Bank and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of
, , , BLS Int. Services and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Piramal Ent., , , and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
