Domestic equity markets will remain closed on Monday, August 15, on account of Indian Independence Day. Currency and derivatives markets will also remain shut for trading.
There will be no action in Equity Segment, Equity Derivative Segment and SLB Segment on Monday, according to the list of stock market holidays 2022
Furthermore, the commodity markets will also observe a holiday. There will be no trade in the evening session either on Monday.
Indian equity indices settled mildly higher on Friday after a volatile session. BSE Sensex added 130 points to settle at 59,463. NSE’s Nifty 50 index jumped above 40-odd points to settle merely shy of 17,700 mark.
