NEW DELHI: Mining shares closed higher in the Friday’s session.
KIOCL(up 10.10%), Aro Granite Industries(up 5.42%), Lexus Granito(up 4.96%), 20 Microns(up 3.44%), NMDC Ltd(up 2.43%), Ashapura Minechem(up 2.14%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 2.07%), Pokarna(up 1.86%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 0.50%) and MOIL(up 0.35%) stood among the top gainers.
Oriental Trimex(down 2.50%),
Dvpt Corporation(down 0.64%) and Coal India(down 0.34%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 142.6 points up at 15699.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 462.26 points at 52727.98.
Mahindra & Mahindra(up 4.32%), Hero MotoCorp(up 3.21%), IndusInd Bank(up 2.75%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.56%), Hindustan Unilever(up 2.28%), Eicher Motors(up 2.09%), ICICI Bank(up 2.05%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.89%), Britannia Industries(up 1.7%) and Bharti Airtel(up 1.67%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra(down 1.0%), Infosys(down 0.78%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.47%), HCL Technologies(down 0.47%), Coal India(down 0.34%),
Enterprises(down 0.31%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.11%), Wipro(down 0.07%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.04%) closed in the red.
