The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted interim bail to fact-checking website Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair in all the six FIRs registered against him in Uttar Pradesh.
The court ordered disbanding of the SIT formed by UP Police for investigation of FIRs against Zubair.
Earlier on Friday the Delhi Court had granted bail to him in a case related to an objectionable tweet he had posted in 2018 against a Hindu deity.
Court said accused Mohd Zubair can’t leave the country without prior permission of the court; granted him bail on a personal bail bond of Rs 50,000, news agency ANI reported.
