NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of TIINDIA(up 4.85 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 4.36 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 4.32 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 3.47 per cent) and Bosch(up 3.22 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Bharat Forge(down 0.94 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries(down 0.03 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 1.97 per cent up at 11583.25.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 142.6 points at 15699.25, while the BSE Sensex stood up 462.26 points at 52727.98.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 ended in the green, while 9 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, , , and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of
, , , Globesecure Technologies Ltd. and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Ltd., Star Health, , Ltd. and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
