NEW DELHI: The Nitish Kumar-led Mahagathbandhan government will face a floor test to prove its majority in the Bihar Assembly on August 24.
In the first Cabinet meeting after taking oath on Wednesday, chief minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy, Tejashwi Yadav, decided to convene the Bihar assembly session on August 24 to seek a trust vote.
The session was initially delayed as speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha refused to quit and prompted the ruling alliance to move a no-confidence motion.
