NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 547.83 points up at 55816.32 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Tanla Solutions(down 19.88 per cent), Purple Entertainment(down 15.63 per cent), Garware Synth(down 12.37 per cent),
Ltd.(down 9.96 per cent) and Kamadgiri Fash(down 9.56 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 41 stocks closed in the green, while 9 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 157.95 points up at 16641.8.
On the BSE,
, Oceanic Foods, , . and hit their fresh 52-week lows, while , Rudra Global Infra, , Maximus Intl. and touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
