This comes as a huge relief for millions of people who have been closely watching the health update of the popular TV star.
Srivastava suffered a heart attack while working out at a gym on August 10. He was later rushed to AIIMS Delhi where he has been undergoing treatment ever since.
Fans were aggrieved for over a week after reports of his deteriorating health surfaced on the Internet. Amid all the reports, earlier this week, his daughter Antara told the media that the actor was stable but unconscious.
His family had requested the media and fans to refrain from spreading rumours as it was affecting their morale. “We do not want negative energy, we need positivity. Please pray for his speedy recovery and he will be back soon,” Antara was quoted as saying by PTI.
Srivastava who was born on December 25, 1963 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, began his career by doing a supporting role in Sooraj Barjatya’s 1989 hit ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’.
He went on to star in several films like ‘Baazigar’, ‘Bombay To Goa’, ‘Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon’, and comic caper ‘Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya’. Srivastava became a household name after he appeared on ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ in 2005.
