supertech: No damage to residential towers after Supertech twin tower demolition, says Edifice official

The officials of Edifice Engineering, the company which was tasked with the demolition exercise, said on Sunday that no damage was caused to residential towers in adjoining Emerald Court after demolition of Supertech twin towers.

The Supertech twin towers in Noida were safely demolished on Sunday at 2:30 pm using waterfall implosion technique.

Residents of neighbouring societies near the Supertech twin towers made arrangements to celebrate the demolition of a structure borne out of corruption. Drummers were called outside

Society to play drums during the demolition process, IANS reported.

The company had took stock of the situation after reaching the rooftop of the towers in the morning. The team carrying out the demolition ensured that there were no loose ends ahead of the blast.

It had also secured a Rs 100 crore worth insurance policy to cover any potential losses. The humongous structure’s demolition is estimated to cost Rs 20 crore, or around Rs 267 per square foot.
