NEW DELHI: The per capital cloth availability in India has increased over three-fold since 1960-61.
Seven Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks are being set up to establish a complete textile ecosystem.
A Production Linked Incentive scheme for textiles has also been introduced to boost manufacturing and strengthen value chain.
